Plerdy records sessions on the marketing website (public pages). PostHog records sessions within the web application (authenticated platform). Both capture mouse movements, clicks, and scrolling. Neither captures keyboard input in password, payment, or other sensitive fields. Recordings are retained for up to 12 months.
